Welcome to Our Classroom
Welcome to our classroom, friends! I am excited to be teaching your children. I am ready to teach, learn with students and grow in an engaging environment.
I have 10 years of experience working with families in many roles specific in Education. I started as a teacher's aide, liaison, sports coach for multiple sports, and facilitator of meetings and connections in our community.
I am looking forward to collaborating with students and families to build a safe, supportive learning climate that promotes learner growth and development. I hope to develop strong student teacher relationships based on understanding my learners' culture to meet learners' needs in each area of development (cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical) and scaffold their next level of development with resources and supports.
Family support is crucial in a learner's life, I will enforce communication between classroom and home to better support your children. I will include attention to learner's personal, family and community experiences and cultural norms to help learners feel valued in our classroom.
Success in our Learners
I am hopeful that your learners will feel encouraged to learn as every "learner will bring assets for learning based on their individual experiences, abilities, talents, prior learning, and peer and social group interactions, as well as language, culture, family, and community values"

I will "respect learners as individuals with differing personal and family backgrounds and various skills, abilities, perspectives, talents, and interests"

Goals for Our Students
Learners will be independent individuals who will respect each other, work collaboratively, and help build challenging learning goals. We will "create a safe, favorable learning climate of openness, mutual respect, support, and inquiry
(INTASC model core teaching standards and learning progressions for teachers, 2013), while valuing each other's opinions and developing knowledgeable skills for their future.
Our learning environment will be fun, kind, and respectful.
